Free Computer Printer & Scanner [12 Jul 2008|10:19am]
I've tried donating them to schools... no luck.
I've waited for the NYC Electronic recycle days-- I've missed 2 in a row--

Anyone want? HP Scanjet 5400C, comes with cables. Works fine. HP Deskjet 895cse Printer, a little tempermental but works as well. Also with free cable. Pickup Sunday or Monday night, UES.

Next place, circular file, recycle be damned.

Summer's here, so its time for the yearly balcony picts. The giant blue flowers are morning glory vines -- they last exactly one day.

Taken this morning--
Balcony 2008 - nice!

Usually, I don't care about useless stuff, but this has got to be the best invention!
Possibly the Greatest Invention of this Millennium

The AP reports that 26-year old Jeff Libby has created and sold what will probably be looked back on as the first great invention of the 21st century. Stem cells are cool and all, but this guy has really done it. He has created and sold the first “Table-Top Beer Tap” system to a sports bar in Atlanta. It cost the bar $50,000 in total, but they’ve got 30 of them installed in the place. Isn’t this on the level of flying cars and rocket packs? As kids we always wished we could just somehow rewind live TV and up stepped TIVO to make our dreams a reality. Jeff Libby is 2008’s version of TIVO. Thank you Jeff.

The system measures your pourage and charges you by the ounce. Makes sense to me.

Saturday was such a nice day--

Union Square market

However, something was astir... when you see this crowd, you get worried...

We are waiting

See the fish pillow

Suddenly, it was bedlam!

Wow, that was crazy! I had to get out of there and do a little shopping. When I returned, it was over--

The end result

Its a very good idea, geoduck

1) Pick some of your favorite movies.
2) Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3) Post them here for everyone to guess.
4) Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5) NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions to answer!

I'm not a die-hard Giant fan, but highing out with a friend made it a fun day yesterday. Did you see Jerry Jones come down from his box and wait by the coach the last 2-3 weeks? Oh, the best part? I just heard that Jerry Jones had champion tickets for the next game PRINTED before yesterday's game, and the Giants managed to snag a ticket or two. How's that for motivation?

The girl has been found!  It seems she's an intern at Blackbook mag.  Her apartment burned down a few days ago, but she's playing hookey to be in Sex in the City as an extra...  Roll it!
